5 INTERESTING INDIAN MOVIES TO WATCH DURING THIS LOCKDOWN !

       Hi friends. The world today is in the Covid 19 pandemic. We are in the situation of lockdown. As i was sitting idle in my house during this lockdown, i found out some really interesting indian movies which were worth watching. I would like to share those interesting movies of different genres which are available for free in Hotstar and Youtube. Lets get into the list of movies !

1. ARUVI

     ARUVI is one of the most underrated movies in tamil cinema which has to be watched by a wider range of audience. ARUVI is the modern masterclass of story telling. This film tells the life and struggles of a girl named 'Aruvi'.Aruvi in Tamil translates to ‘Waterfall’ and the movie lives up to its name. Aruvi is a waterfall of emotions, where one second you are nostalgic, the next second you are sad, and in the next, you are just plain confused (in a good way).

 Aruvi is a good disciplined girl who comes from a good family but her discipline and loyalty is questioned at one point. There the life of aruvi takes a turn ! This film deals with the prevailing problems faced by a lonely girl in this male dominated society.

    The end of this film has brought tears in my eyes but iam pretty sure that you will come to know the problems faced by a girl in this society. This is the first movie in this list which i would surely recommend you to watch and its worth watching...

2. BADHAAI HO

Movie Name : BADHAAI HO

Cast              : Ayushmann Khuranna, Sanya Malhotra, Meena Gupta, Gajraj Rao

Genre           : Comedy

      

 BADHAAI HO is a bollywood comedy movie released in the year 2018. Badhaai Ho received positive reviews and it was a great commercial success. This movie deals in

 a comedy way about an unplanned pregnancy in a middle class Delhi family.

The setting is a middle-class government colony in Delhi. The humor draws from the use of language and idiom characteristic to the Capital and the family’s efforts to

 handle the unplanned pregnancy. Gajraj Rao marvelously portrays the bundle of emotions that is Jitinder. His surging love for his wife is checked by idle chatter by 

neighbors, family members, and his domineering mother.

When you are feeling bored in your houses, i would definitely recommend this movie to watch. Everyone can understand the prevailing culture and traditions in India,

 mainly in its northern parts. At the end of this movie, you will definitely feel good for watching this cluster of mixed emotions and comedy.

3. KANNUM KANNUM KOLLAIYADITHAAL

Movie Name : KANNUM KANNUM KOLLAIYADITHAAL

Genre              : ROMANTIC THRILLER

      KANNUM KANNUM KOLLAIYADITHAAL is the recently released movie in tamil industry which has become a great hit movie.This movie has become popular because of two major reasons : one - its story line and two- dulquer's tamil movie. Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal is a winsome romantic thriller with charming leads and edge-of-the-seat moments. According to me, this movie tops my recent watchlist! This movie was released in the year 2020. This movie always passes the feeling of freshness to its viewers. 

      The lead character Rakshan's humor sense tends to carry the movie to a little greater height. If you are interested in different genres like fun,love,comedy and thriller,  then this movie is a perfect choice for you to watch.This movie is even filled with young and peppy songs too. From the start to the end of this movie, this movie is completely backed up with loads and loads of twists which doesn't cheat the audience. This movie is available for free in Youtube also with English subtitles... If you wanna ride a roller coaster during this lockdown, then this movie is a perfect choice to watch ! 

4. VARATHAN

Movie Name : VARATHAN

Language       : MALAYALAM

Cast                 : FAHADH FASSIL, AISHWARYA LEKSHMI

Genre             : SURVIVAL THRILLER

       VARATHAN is a Malayalam movie which goes in the concept of survival of the fittest. As the movie mentioned above, VARATHAN movie tells about a couple who are shifting their base from Dubai to their ancestral home in Kerala. But unforeseen and uninvited problems arise and these problems makes the movie more interesting to watch during this lockdown. 

    Varathan's eagerness to answer this question means that the movie becomes another (uber-stylish) thriller where a serious case of sexual assault becomes an excuse for a few punches to be thrown. The film may, on the surface, seem a mere thriller, but Varathan is definitely much more than that.This movie is also available in hotstar along with English subtitles :)  Even though Varathan takes its time to simmer in the first half, with its songs and varied characters, but in the second half it comes all guns blazing and turns into a stylish survival thriller worth watching.!

5. JUNE

Movie Name  : JUNE

Language         : MALAYALAM

Cast                   : RAJISHA VIJAYAN, SARJANO KHALID, VAISHNAVI                                                     VENUGOPAL

Genre               : DRAMA

          JUNE is a Malayalam drama which revolves around the life of the protagonist - June. When you are not in the mood to watch thriller or action movies, you can definitely watch JUNE. June is a girl who has no specific dreams or big plans about her future.But at the end of the story, we can see how the same girl gradually developed into an independent woman. 

        The story travels around the life of June from her school days to till her marriage.If you are a girl, then you can easily relate to the characters and story line of this movie.The young men in June’s life are wimpy and sweet, but again the characters are not one-sided. Knowingly or unknowingly, they all push June to do more at the important junctures in her life.

        You can freely watch this movie on hotstar also with English subtitles. Even though the movie had some old fashioned ideas, the climax is the best part. The climax of this movie will not let us to end this movie. I am pretty damn sure that all of our lives are filled with each and every characters in this movie and this relatability makes us even more closer to this film. At the end of the day, this movie is a feel good movie which leaves us with loads of smile, memories and a bit of tears in our eyes !
